WILD LANDS

Conservation-led safari

A wilderness, managed for life.

Game drives, guided walks and long quiet hours on a reserve run for the health of the veld first.

The reserve

We farm the veld, not the animals.

250 hectares of malaria-free Waterberg bushveld, off-grid and unhurried, two-and-a-half hours from Johannesburg. We manage stocking to roughly four-fifths of what the land can carry — a buffer that keeps the veld, and the animals on it, in good condition.

The result is a calm, well-conditioned wilderness rather than a crowded one. Game here is an amenity to be watched and valued, not a number to be maximised.
